Homtown 2

In shanghai, a lot of people live units which are big reinforced concrete buildings. There are a few houses in the suburs of Shanghai. Because of wild areas, it could build villas and town houses. But they are very faraway from city, public transports aren't enough at there. You only drive by yourself to go to work. If you want to have a holiday, you can choose to live the house. There is fresh air, good seeingsighs and no much noise.
When people have a free time, they can play different places where they like. Some people like to sing, they go to the "Cash Box" which is special for singing club. Others like sports, for example table tennis, tennis, golf and so on. You can go to the sports centre and enjoy it. But I like massage to relax. There are many massage shop to choose and the prices are not expensive. In a word, people have a different night-life according to each person's habits. It's very various style relaxation.

Old man in the classroom

I think the old man had a chance to learn some knowledge at primary school in Kenya. That is fair to everybody in spite of their ages. He was eighty four years old man, but he didn't care about it. He's also eager to hand up to answer the question with other children. In Kenya, there is no enough fund to build the basic education. So the eighty-four-year old man was studying at primary school. I'm so lucky in Australia, there are perfect education systems and good enough teaching materials. We should study hard. And we are so young to compare with the old man.

Hometown

I'm Yvonne. I'm from Shanghai,China. My city is located in the south of China. It's a modern and fashionable place. People have a fast lifestyle-- they are busy working, eating quickly, they have no much time to relax. There is more stressful in Shanghai than in Australia. But public transport is very convenient. There are many shifts by bus, subway, ferry. You don't need to wait a long time, but it's too crowded anytime by public transport. In my city, there are lots of restaurants, and different tasty food styles and snacks. I love it, if you have a chance to travel to Shanghai, you must try it. It's so delicious!

Election

Last Saturday, my husband and his parents went to the local polling booth to vote. Because I'm not a citizen yet, I'm not qualified to vote. I know a little bit about the electoral system in Australia.
Australians have the right and responsibility to vote, if you don't, you will get a fine. If you are overseas during the election, you could vote by mail or go to the Australia Embassy to elect.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour is at 7:30 31 March,2007. In Sydney, people turn off the lights one hour from 7:30 to 8:30. In order to support global warm, we wish to reduce greenhouse emissions. Every one can take part on it, it's free, you just have an action-- turning off the lights, unpluging any appliances on 31 March from 7:30 to 8:30. I remember there were many countries that did it last year, like Pairs, Italy and so on. I think we should focus on our environment, because there is a only planet in which we are living. Everyone has the responsibility to do it, the government also pay attetion to this movement. It's a very simple action---just turn off the lights for one hour. That's all. It's my opinion.

Hamony Day

The Hamony Day is 21st March. Since 1999, occurs on 21 March each year and celebrates Australia's success as a diverse society united by a common set of values.
These are some events to celebrate the Hamony Day in Kogarah. In details as following:
1.21/3, at Kogarah Community Service, Hamony Day morning & information stall at our
community centre
2.21/3, at Tafe St. George, Various activities for staff and students
3. 21/3, at Bambino's kindergarten, classroom activities with a Hamony day focus.

I think the Hamony Day is a peaceful and quiet. All of the people including communities, states, need hamony atomsphere. Every person respects each other, no matter
their skins, religions, backgrounds, education and so on. We are entering a big warm
family in Australia. And Australia is a multiculture country, there are many kinds of religion
nationalities, if they build hamony air, people will enjoy their lives. That's my opinion

south America

I think it's maybe South America according to these pictures. There is a beautiful beach, many people enjoy it on the sunshine. It's very lovely! And children go to school by bicycle. Especially the black woman is holding a vase on the top of her head. That's so interesting. It's a very romatic city and people can relax, play and so on.
